Historic South Dakota sale, Raymond Sutton Ranch Sale, is the first sale to be recognized with the new AQHA Ranching Heritage Breeder Top Production Sale Award.

The first AQHA Ranching Heritage Breeder Top Production Sale Award goes to a historic sale that has provided good horses to customers for 70 years. The Raymond Sutton Ranch Production Sale has been hosted in Gettysburg, South Dakota, since 1955, and in 2021 the family produced production sale is recognized for its outstanding sale. About the Scholarship Fund
Guy Stoops was a talented third-generation horseman. His grandfather was a Calvary instructor during World War I and his father was an avid hunter-jumper and three-day eventer. After Guy was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident in 2003, he was posthumously named AQHA Professional Horseman of the Year.

Stoops believed strongly in giving back to fellow professional horsemen through education and supported the AQHA Professional Horsemen program since its inception. The Guy Stoops scholarship was founded in 2004 in his memory and has awarded scholarships to 19 children. Stoops’ legacy and dedication [ … ]

The AQHA Political Action Committee empowers our members to participate in shaping the political environment.

AQHA has established a Political Action Committee (PAC) with the goal of educating Members of Congress about the size and scope of the American Quarter Horse industry. The PAC is funded only by donations from AQHA members who are United States citizens. The AQHA Political Action Committee helps to ensure AQHA’s voice in Washington, D.C., is strong and powerful. The PAC’s aim is to secure resources to make an impact on the horse industry and those who are involved with it by supporting elected officials in Washington, D.C., or candidates seeking federal legislative offices.

Contributions to the AQHPAC are not deductible for federal income tax purposes as charitable contributions.  The purpose of the AQHPAC is political and contributions will be used for the benefit of candidates for elected office.
